Alta was a drugstore building racing cars, started by Geoffrey Taylor. 
 
The dedication stays the Grand Prix Formula 1, if Alta doesn't challenge that nevertheless racing cars. 
 
The vehicle includes a tubular chassis and independent suspension quite sophisticated. Pilots call-back of the power system and doesn't shine due to their home Grand Prix while Kelly finished with 13 laps behind the victor Giuseppe Farina because Crossley abandons the round over a transmission issue. In the Belgian Grand Prix, his dedication Crossley Alta and leads to a good 9th place after qualifying 12th. The Alta took just 3 times to the beginning in Grand Prix in 1950.
 
The next year, again independently, Joseph Kelly is again the beginning of his own home Grand Prix in the wheel of the Alta GP, however, as in 1950, it's not going to be categorized since it finishes too much behind the victor. This is actually the final race in world championship GP design.
 
 
In 1952, Alta's new automobile styles, the F2, lighter-than its predecessor but still driven by means of a motorhome (4 cylinder, 1970 cm3 for 150 hp). The F2, which reacts to the brand new version regulation Method 2 (engine capacity of over 2 000 cm3) was started privately by Peter Whitehead Grand to and George Prix of France and UK. Peter managed a great qualifying (13th) but should leave in France while his halfbrother to qualify in 12th place and is not going to advance at his home Grand Prix (he finished 12th, his starting place). Both of these are the sole departures from the prior season and Alta, who leaves the world championship, nearly bloodless after attempting to create a fresh car to adapt an individual engine.
