Proton Logo

The initial version was based on components and technologies from Mitsubishi Motors.

Malaysian government policies have undoubtedly helped keep the Proton less expensive than other auto marques through overtaxing its contest. Obligations on bundles of components for construction into entire import vehicles in Malaysia are about 150 percent.
