Renault-Nissan is going to start launching in Nigeria

The Renault-Nissan concern has announced its plans to start producing cars in Nigeria.
The concern has signed the agreement with Stallion –the West African manufacturer. The launching is planned to begin with the Nissan Patrol SUV next year in spring. Unfortunately, we have no details about their agreement.
According to this agreement, the Renault-Nissan concern has gotten an opportunity to increase production volume in the Lagos plant.
Now, at this plant, Stallion launches about 45,000 vehicles including light trucks, vans and pickups.
The joint venture plans to widen its influence in Nigeria and make this area to become the largest manufacturing center in Africa. Renault-Nissan is going to stay for long time there.
The government of Nigeria is also interested in production Renault-Nissan cars there because of development of the automobile industry in the country.
Nissan's representative said that the main aim is to increase annual selling of cars twice as much by 2016. Besides, the auto manufacturer plans to begin the Datsun launching by next year.
