Scion FR-S gets minor upgrades, higher price for 2016
Scion has released several small upgrades to its FRS sports coupe for the 2016 model-year.
The organization has improved the inside with brilliant silver accents on the steering-wheel bezel, change bezel, door handle and center-console. Purchasers also get an improved audio program for the base version, plus a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and voice recognition technology. Addressing issues over bad rear visibility, the 2016 version now lists a back-view backup camera among its regular attributes. To further entice purchaser, Scion has added two new exterior colours -- Ablaze reddish and Oceanic blue -- to visually identify the most recent bundles. The updated conventional attributes don't come free, as the 2016 FRS base cost jumps up by $405 to ,075 (including 0 freight) using a six-pace handbook. The six-speed sequential automatic provides the cost up to $27,175.The greater prices arrive as Toyota's youth-centered brand continues to encounter problem selling the FR-S. March sales were down 3 9%, while first quarter amounts fell by almost 29 percent. Rumours have maintained Toyota could introduce a turbo-charged motor and all-wheel-push for the next generation GT-86, possibly borrowing the 300-hp flat four from the Subaru WRX STI. Other reviews stage to convertible and sedan form, though the inferior sales could dissuade the organization from making substantial development investments in new physique designs. Read Source
