Audi will present new A8, A8L and S8 in Frankfurt this September
The Audi brand introduces the new A8 model equipped with more powerful engines, the vehicle will get Matrix LED headlights and some new systems. Besides, the new model will be lighter than its predecessors were; the mostly aluminum body weighs only 231 kilograms. We will see novelties at the Auto Show in Frankfurt this September.
The front part of A8 looks more aggressive than earlier models due to the new aggressive design of a grille, a hood and straightened lower edge of headlights. There are 25 light-emitting diodes in the high beam light, which may be switched off when necessary, the daytime running lights got new design and the rear lamps became flatter. In addition, the headlights have intelligent cornering.
In Germany, the Audi A8 will be available with engines: the 3.0-liter V-6 supercharged TFSI, producing 310 horsepower, the 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo TFSI with the output of 435 horsepower and couple of diesel engines: the 3.0-liter TDI, producing 258 horsepower, the 4.2-liter TDI with the power of 385 horsepower. For the American auto market, the car manufacturer offers the 6.3-liter W-12 engine with the output of 500 horsepower.
The S8 model will be equipped with the 4.0-liter V-8 TSFI producing 520 horsepower, accelerates a car from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The fuel consumption 10.1 liters per 100 kms.
The A8 models have an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox and Quattro four-wheel drive. Besides, vehicles are available with the rear axle with sport differential as a feature.
This novelty will come on sale in November with the started price is 74,500 euros in Germany.
