Nowadays, Audi began public testing of the new A8 that will come on the markets as a sedan of 2018 model year. The 2018 novelty is built on the newly updated 2015 A8.
The novelty will be built on the newest brand’s platform MLB Evo, which was developed by the Volkswagen Group and used in the present A8 model and other models of Volkswagen Group. First, this platform was introduced in the Audi Sport Quattro concept car in 2013. Then the platform is used in the production model of the Q7 of 2016 model year.
Earlier, there was information that the new A8 would be based on the sports platform MSB developed by Porsche for its 2017 Panamera. However, as we may notice, that information was not confirmed.
The spy photos show the novelty has new intakes in front and updated suspension at back. The length and track are unchanged as the present model has. Probably, everything might change before the introduction of the car, there is too early.
