The most successful carmaker of 2014 has been founded
Last year, BMW became the most successful automaker of the year. It was able to sold about 1,811,719 vehicles during 2014. The selling was increased by 9.5 percent to compare with previous years. The most popular model was the 3-series, which was sold in 479,792 cars.
BMW still kept its position in the U.S., where the carmaker sold about 339,738 vehicles.
In spite of that, the largest auto market for BMW was China in 2014.
Another German automaker, Audi took the second place. It sold about 1,741,100 cars last year. That was more by 10.5 in comparison with the precious year. The Chinese auto market was also one of the most important market for Audi.
The third place was taken by Mercedes, which sold about 1,650,010 models last year. Selling was increased by 12.9 percent to compare with 2013. However, the auto market “No. 1” was the U.S. The most popular models were S-class, GLA and CLA-classes.
As sales of last year shown, demand for three brands was grown and the world started to be interested more luxury cars.
To compare, last year, Cadillac sold 263,697 models that was more by 5.2 percent than in the previous year. Selling of Infiniti increased by 13.5 percent to 186,200 vehicles. The supercars’ maker Porsche grew sales by 17 percent and sold 189,850 last year.
However, statistics of other great auto manufacturers such as Volvo, Maserati, Lexus, land Rover and Jaguar have not released yet.
