Daimler is going to increase Smart sales on the Chinese auto market
The Chinese car market as one of the largest markets in the world will be introduced more Smart cars thereby increasing the selling of the Smart models there.
According to official report the auto manufacturer plans to sell an electric version of the two-seat vehicle of the Smart ForTwo model. Besides, currently Smart and Renault are developing a new version of this model but with additional two rear seats.
There will be 100 dealers’ showrooms of Smart in 75 cities in China. The annual profit of Smart sales is been expecting to go up by 15 percent during following several years if models are sold in cities with a population of over one million citizens.
The main factor why Smart is so confident in success of sales is problems with parking space in 160 cities of Chine where more 1,000000 people live.
Last year the selling of the Smart model increased by 45 percent in China and including Hong Kong.
We have no information when new models will be on the Chinese market but we are informed that China will become the biggest car market of Smart.
More than 40,000 Smarts were sold in China since 2009 when the Smart was introduced there at the first time.
