The Swedish descendants of Eugenio Nielson and Augusto Bruno Nielson opened a carpentry shop in Joinville, on September 17th, 1946. They produced wood furniture, window frames and desks. One-year later, Brother & Nielson remodeled the very first bus body. On the gigante Chevrolet chassis, shortly after, in 1949, they created a bus in absolute wooden construction. It was the starting-point of a company that in several decades would become a vital bus manufacturing company within the marketplace.

It was en-route to getting the section leader in Brazil, with ground-breaking and advanced goods, as the Urbanuss in 1987, the Diplomata version in 1961, the Panoramico DD in 1998, and others when Harold Nielson joined the firm in 1956

In 1990, the so-called Carrocerias Nielson starts a brand new group of vehicles and alters the business name to BUSSCAR Onibus, producing the mark that's known now in the Global and Brazilian markets.

Despite the death of Harold Nielson in the 1998, the business didn't drop the look, durability, comfort and resistance features of its own products, that is always recognized.

In 2001, BUSSCAR started a brand new group of vehicles, JumBuss and Vissta Buss.

BUSSCAR Onibus S.A. has consistently developed an unique technologies, from conception to the fabrication of remedies, to be able to provide the maximum in relaxation and protection within all sections of its own vehicles. The Justice declared bankruptcy of Busscar due to the results from slump of 2008, on 27 September 2012
