2014 Acura ILX costing $27,795
The 2014 Acura ILX sedan will definitely cost $27,795 when it goes on sale on Tuesday, including an $895 destination charge. The advanced package adds $3,200 while the technology package adds $4,700. A manual can be specified. These prices represent an increase of $1,000 over the 2013 type.
Two machines can be obtained, a, 150-hp four, along with a 201-hp 2.4-liter four. Mixed fuel mileage is 2-5 mpg in the 2.4-liter, 2-8 mpg for that mill.
The Honda Civic-based ILX comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, new leatherette door liners and leather seating surfaces, eight-way strength driver's seat, heated front seats and a multi-angle rearview camera.
Pandora radio, push button start, and keyless entry may also be provided in addition to the technology and premium offers.
The framework of the ILX runs on the fully-independent MacPherson strut setup in the front with a multilink back and Acura's Amplitude Reactive Dampers, which -- according to Acura -- offer more comfort and better handling. An electric power steering system is standard.
