According to the Hungary authority report, owing to growing of the production of such largest auto manufacturers as Audi and Mercedes in the country, the GDP has risen by 3.9 per cent during the second quarter of this year.
The Economy Minister declared that it is the largest increasing of a month since it happened during three months in 2006.
As we have already said before, the main reason of growing GDP is increasing of the carmakers production, which reached 11 per cent in June.
Currently, at the Mercedes’s plant in Kecskemet, there are more than 3,000 people work. This factory has stared operating since 2012 and last year the plant launched over 100,000 cars.
In addition, this May, Mercedes had to add the third shift at the Kecskemet’s plant because of increasing demand for the models of CLA and B-classes in the world.
In July, the Audi Company had to add the third shift at the plant in Gyor, which produces the A3 in two versions –convertible and sedan, TT Roadster and coupe. The plant launches annually 160,000 cars. In 2013, the factory produced about 42,851 vehicles and 1.90 million powertrains.
Audi invested over 1.23 billion dollars to the brand’s plant on Gyor to expend the production spectrum.
