DeltaWing introduces production-intent GT concept, race car chassis
1460
An American firm named delta wing H-AS launched a futuristic new notion called GT, as well as a chassis produced to ultimately underpin a racecar.
The GT is the most recent in a long-line of aerodynamic experimental sports vehicles that started in 2012 when delta wing participated in the 24 hrs of lemans. The theory has been slowly finetuned with input from Panoz, an engineering company and sportscar contractor, and delta wing is eventually able to construct and analyze the first couple of prototypes. DeltaWing developed the GT to be equally easy and efficient. Having a low-drag co-efficient of 0.26 and a low-weight, it's able of yielding 74 mpg on the freeway and 5 7 mpg in a combined cycle if it is driven by a 1.4-liter motor tuned to produce 138 hp. Instead, it could be fitted with the all-electric drive-train, a plug in hybrid drive-train, a diesel-engine or an engine-powered by compressed natural-gas (CNG).Interior images are not accessible yet, but the firm aims to ultimately construct both 2- and four-seater models. DeltaWing is planning to team up using a significant automaker to create the GT so that you can prevent being forced to purchase a brand new production facility. A timeframe for when we are able to be prepared to see delta wing triangle shaped GT on community streets hasn't yet been given however, and pricing information is not accessible. Read Source
