Honda showed the newest Civic concept in Geneva
Finally, the annual Geneva auto show opens its doors and let us glance at the chicest, most powerful, updated and luxury cars. The one of outstanding representatives introduced at the show is the latest Honda Civic Type R concept.
The Honda manufacturer has just presented this concept of a regular model, which come on sale next year.
This concept car is built on a regular Civic model; however, most exterior elements and technical features were changed or updated as well.
The concept gets an updated rear spoiler for providing the additional down force; enlarged grilles, special air outlets providing cooling into an engine. In addition, fenders were widened to house new 20-inch wheels.
The future production Civic type R is equipped with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injected engine, producing the output of 280 horsepower. The six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel-drive are standard equipment. Moreover, the automatic transmission will be also available at will.
The carmaker does not plan to sell this model in the American market because the car is built on the platform of Civic, which is intended for other auto markets in the world.
