Nissan has begun testing of self-cleaning paints
We have to be happy that we are living in time when the nanotechnologies come true and are able to help us.
The great example of the nanotechnology is the paint, which can clean by itself! Is it amazing? Oh, yeah… Anyway, the Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan has recently started testing this “super” paint on its cars. And the first test variant became the small Versa Note.
The car is painted in the self-cleaning paint, which repels oil and water.
You will be surprised how the paint helps to repel mud, water and other liquids off the car. This paint really helps you to save money for the carwash.
The innovative product is named as the Ultra-Ever Dry. This modern technology makes the special protective layer between the car’s paint and our environment. The manufacturer of this super-paint is the UltraTech International Inc.
According to the representatives of Nissan, the special paint is able to stop water, dirt, snow and frost. Also we are interested in would this paint protect our cars against hot asphalt. However, there is no information about the hot asphalt yet.
Now the carmaker is not ready to share its plans about using this paint for its cars but anyway, Nissan may use the paint as an optional feature first and then paint new models in the future.
