Philly murder suspect in custody after car chase in Florida

PHILADELPHIA -- U.S. Marshals have detained a Philadelphia murder suspect after a tip led them to chase him down in Florida Tuesday afternoon, according to CBS Philly.Cops said the suspect, 28-year old Kayree Reid, was needed for the deadly shooting of a 22-year old guy inside of a food store in west Philadelphia's Mantua neighborhood on Nov. 10."We got advice from the U.S. Marshals out in Philadelphia that a homicide fugitive from Philadelphia was in the Jacksonville region," mentioned Silvestre del Rosario, of the U.S. Marshals.Investigators said they monitored Reid to a house Tuesday night, where they noticed him get in to a Ford Expedition, with a new born in a backseat. The driver sped away and a pursuit ensued, as stated by the station. Authorities said the pursuit ended when the driver slammed in to some police vehicles, totaling the sport utility vehicle. No one was hurt as well as the infant is currently in its mom guardianship, the station reported. The motorist was detained, in addition to Reid.
