VW-owned Skoda introduces Fabia-based FUNstar concept

Volkswagen's Czech Republic-centered Skoda office has announced it is going to introduce a brand new notion called FUNstar at the yearly GTI Assembly which will take place later this month in Worthersee, Austria.
The FUNstar is a pick-up edition of the new Fabia, a subcompact hatchback geared toward the Ford Fiesta. Assembled by means of a team of youthful trainees, the theory is almost identical to the production-car when it's seen in the front but the sheetmetal over the back seats as well as the trunk was cut out to produce a tiny bed lined with stainless steel. Not strictly functional, Skoda's newest theory gains a complete body kit, a fresh hood using a set of big ports, a white and grey two-tone paint-job with comparing vibrant green accents and 18 Inch alloy wheels sourced in the Octavia RS. Skoda hasn't printed photos of the FUNstar's inside, but it claims the cockpit was updated having some of sport seats, new trim parts that repeat the 2-tone paint-job and an ear-drum-shattering 1,400-watt sound system. The FUNstar is somewhat more powerful when compared to a stock Fabia thanks to a 1.2-liter four-cylinder TSI four-cylinder motor that makes 120 hp. The four-banger spins the front wheels by means of a seven-speed dual clutch DSG gearbox sourced in the Volkswagen parts bin. Skoda has provided automobile-based pick-ups before but it left the section above a decade ago with no ideas to produce a recovery. The FUNstar is only a one off version built to showcase the ability of the organization 's trainees, and Skoda stresses the theory will not preview a generation-headed minitruck. Read Source
