While the crash is still being investigated by local police, a few details surrounding the circumstances have emerged.
It turns out the P1”s owner, a 27-year-old male, had taken delivery of the car less than 24 hours before the crash. He picked it up from Dallas-based luxury car dealership Park Place Premier Collection, which confirmed to KHOU that the car was delivered to its owner on Tuesday.

By 7:41 a.m. the next day, first responders were being called to the scene of the crash. They said the driver appeared to have lost control of the car after hitting a wet patch while traveling on McKinnon Street. The car then slammed into a guardrail. Considering the high level of damage some speed must have been involved.
The driver and a 24-year-old passenger were taken to Parkland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
