One day, the Audi TT was redesigned and technically improved. This Paris auto show presents the new Audi’s concept car –the TT Sportback.
Probably, the carmaker plans to make the TT into a separate brand, which will compete with BMW 4-series or Mercedes CLA-class, for instance.
The concept car gets four seats and five doors as well.
The TT Sportback is built as a follower of both A7 and A5 Sportbacks. Moreover, according to a member of the Audi technical development, it may become a new model in the TT’s lineup.
Certainly, the TT Sportback concept has not only the modern design of the concept. It includes technical changes such as the powertrain is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces the output of 400 horsepower and the torque of 332 lb-ft. The transmission is a seven-speed; the concept is offered with all-wheel-drive quattro. That concept car is able to accelerate from 0 mph to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds as well.
Inside, the TT Sportback has the standard 12.3-inch display in the dashboard; moreover, there is the brand’s MMI multimedia and infotainment system.

The cabin is quite comfortable for four adult passengers in spite of the low arched roofline. Also, the seats may be folded to provide more space for luggage.
The TT Sportback is also based on the platform MQB developed by the Volkswagen Group. Owing to using high-strength steel and some elements of suspension made of aluminum, the automaker has reduced the car’s weight.
