BMW working on Tesla Model X rival?

BMW will apparently take on Tesla's coming Model X with an all electric utility-vehicle of its own.
Although Tesla's Model X crossover is still months away from retail revenue, the all electric utility-vehicle is loving lots of favorable buzz. Appearing to make use of that fervor, German company magazine Wirthschaftswoche asserts that BMW's board is currently considering an electrical SUV of its own. If given the green-light the Design X competition will be constructed at BMW's SUV plant in Spartanburg, Sc. The Spartanburg plant now assembles BMW's X3, X4, X5 and X-6 utility vehicles. The electrical SUV could join BMW's i-line of electrical automobiles. BMW now sells the compact I-3 -- that may be had as a pure electrical or as a array-extending hybrid vehicle -- as well as the i8 hybrid sports car.
