The Citroen brand brought to our attention its new concept car at the Frankfurt show last week. The model got the name “Cactus” and will come on sale the coming year.
This car does not differ radically from other current and past models of Citroen. The main characteristic feature is only the system “Airbumps” that installed into doors for preventing damage during parking.
The length of a vehicle is 165 inches; the height is 60 inches. The car dimensions and the common look will not be surprised the European markets, which is filled by the wide range of Citroen’s models.
Citroen is the auto manufacturer, which could equip a car by the system protects damages in parking lots but did it elegant.
An exterior Cactus is wonderful. There is only digital interface that controls everything in a car.
This concept has the hybrid powertrain probably with the hybrid air technology, developed by Peugeot to boost a gas-power engine by a special compressed air system. However, the production version of this model will be equipped with some powertrains that are not so expensive.
The fuel consumption of the vehicle is expected to be about 94 mpg, but this rate is taken with the air system.
Firstly, the auto manufacturer mentioned about this concept Cactus in 2007, by the presentation its C-Cactus concept vehicle in Frankfurt. The general design was changed but the main idea was to launch a mid-sized crossover.
