Cops Va woman found shot dead in car pulled into driveway

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. --Police say a young Virginia woman was discovered shot dead in her vehicle late Sunday, and and they are investigating her death as a murder. The physique of Heather Ciccone was discovered in the vehicle by the end of a drive of a house in Spotsylvania, about 60 miles north of Richmond, Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office advised 48 Hours' Crimesider. The 21-year old girl, who CBS affiliate WTVR reports was a host in a Red Robin cafe, was last seen that trip to the Spotsylvania house where she resided with her parents about half an hour away. Her parents informed the station she stated she would help a friend whose vehicle broke down. Pearce stated the proprietors of the house near where the body was found are not linked to the offense. He explained the vehicle "was not ten toes" in to that which was was a lengthy expanse of private drive between the route and the house, and it seemed it'd taken in in "quite fast." The home-owners notified authorities after making the grisly discovery, reviews WTVR. On Monday, a medical examiner ruled Ciconne's death a murder with a gun shot to the torso, Pearce said. Pearce said researchers uncovered several items of signs in the vehicle, including a shell casing, but would not remark more on that which was was regained. Authorities have "some prospects," he said. Household tells WTVR that Ciccone h-AS received death threats, and say a girl has been stalking and threatening to kill her.
