Detailed preview of the 2016 Volvo XC90
In Sweden, Volvo has recently introduced the redesigned and totally updated version of Volvo XC90, which presented as the second generation.
That Volvo’s model is also based on the brand’s platform SPA that allows using various variants of wheelbases, widths and lengths. The XC90 gets a more conservative appearance.
For the U.S. auto market, the novelty will be offered with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder supercharged or turbocharged units. In addition, the plug-in hybrid with Twin engine is also available; the hybrid version has the power of 400 horsepower while the CO2 emission is only about 60g/km. By the way, the Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid will the first hybrid model with seven seats in the world.
The interior includes good quality but simple materials: walnut wood trims, stainless steel and, certainly, leather Nappa.
The most significant feature in the novelty is the brand’s Sensus system, which includes the capacitive touch screen with intuitively simple controlling.
The second important feature is the safety system including the assist snugging seat belts and seat-frame dampers. Also, there is the brand’s City Safety system, which automatically brakes if you are turning to the way of oncoming vehicles.
