First drive of the latest BMW M4 and M3
The German auto manufacturer is able to build whatever you like from crossovers to city hatchbacks. However, if the special group of customer prefer hardcore driving, the BMW Company is ready to offer them the M3 model.
We know if the 3-series is the BMW’s heart of selling, the M version of cars is the carmaker’s soul.
Both M3 and M4 are presented as novelties of 2015 model year. Each of them has its own history. Although, the M3 is much more well known than the M4 as well.
Currently, we are happy to find out both new models in testing on the U.S. roads.
The M3 and M4 are both equipped with the 3.0-liter six-cylinder in line twin turbocharged powertrain issuing the output of 425 horsepower and the torque of 406 lb-ft.
The novelties are offered with standard M-DCT dual-clutch gearbox, which allows accelerating of the car from 0 mph to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. If the customer prefers a manual transmission, there is a six-speed manual gearbox, which helps accelerating from 0 mph to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.
The new M versions are equipped with the adaptive M suspension, which is also an additional feature as well. Both novelties are available in three different modes –Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
