Hennessey Mustang reaches 208 mph
Hennessey Performance Engineering has has now reached 207.9 miles per hour in its new HPE750 Mustang.
The tuner promises to have constructed the first 2015 Mustang to break the 200 mph mark, thanks to a 2.9-liter supercharger system mounted to the Mustang-GT 5.0-liter V-8 power-plant. An updated fuel pump, larger injectors, a fresh air intake and engine-direction recalibration bring the end product up to 774 hp and 648 pounds-feet of torque.HPE maintains the bundle will work to get a zero-to-60-mph sprint in only 3.4 seconds, and 1 / 4-mile dash in just under-11 seconds at 133 miles per hour. The HPE750 is targeted directly at the Dodge Hellcat choices, providing a number of more ponies and almost as many pounds-ft of turn. The Hennessey Mustang's top rate surpasses the Charger SRT Hellcat by a couple of miles per hour, but nevertheless, it needs to be noted that Dodge's official 204.55 miles per hour amount was an average from 2 up- and downwind runs."It Is quite cool to to have the ability to to provide an American muscle-car that offers supercar performance for less than $70,000," claims HPE creator John Hennessey. Only 500 units will soon be constructed, each bringing in $69,374 (including the foundation Mustang GT).The 207.9 miles per hour jog will be showcased in an episode of Jay Leno's Garage.
