Hennessey announces 1,000-hp Cadillac CTS-V
1216
American tuner Hennessey has declared plans to give you a tuning package for the newest 2016 Cadillac CTS V that will hit the sedan's output signal to about 1,000 hp.
Gently geared toward the Dodge Charger Hellcat, Hennessey's HPE1000 is billed as the planet 's fastest four door sedan. It's powered with a heavily-altered variant of the inventory cts v 6.2-liter V-8 motor that gains hammered aluminum pistons, a new crankshaft, ported cylinder heads and a pair of beefy turbo-chargers that change the factory supercharger. With about 1,000 ponies under the hood - 360 more than inventory - the CTSV can achieve a top rate of around 240 miles per hour if it's provided enough tarmac. A digital boost controller retains the turbos under control, while K&N air filters and a stainless sport exhaust system assist the motor breath. Visually, the HPE1000 stands apart in the stock CTSV thanks to a far lower ride-height, a more aggressive front bumper that gets a splitter, a sprinkling of polish black trimming on both ends and substantial fender flares. The sedan rides on upsized alloy wheels wrapped by lowprofile tires. Hennessey will assemble only 24 instances of the altered Cadillac CTS V for the 2016 model-year, but how much each one will price had not been disclosed. The tuner will even give you a less extreme bundle that shoves the 8-cylinder's output signal to anyplace between 750 and 800 hp while retaining the supercharger. Read Source
