Honda adds 350K vehicles to Takata recall

Honda has declared that its Takata recall effort was enlarged to contain about 350,000 more autos.
The extra vehicles will obtain new passenger-side air-bag inflators, which are susceptible to rupture and possibly cause shrapnel accidents. The company indicates any motorist-side parts have been changed in prior campaigns. The revised set of versions impacted by one or more air-bag recalls contains the Honda Accord, Civic, cr v, Element, Odyssey, Pilot, and Ridge Line, combined with Acura MDX, TL, CL and RL. Model years go as far back as 2001 and no later than 2011."The vast bulk of Honda and Acura automobiles affected by last week's statement were previously included in previous recalls or security development efforts," mentioned Honda America support VP Bruce Smith.
