Roald Goethe endured a terrible crash with only over seven hours staying in the race.
An enormous injury for Roald Goethe in the No.96 GTE-Am Aston Martin has triggered a fourth Safety-Car period at Lemans.
Goethe seemed to lose control of the Aston Martin at the fast left hand kink at Maison-Blanche and slammed in to the retaining wall. The auto endured major front end damage plus it seems the race-leading No. 19 Porsche 919 was finishing a move when the AMR driver went off.
Marshals and medical groups were on-the-scene promptly to tend to Goethe. "We can verify that Roald is aware and speaking on the air but will visit the medical center," stated the group.
The Safety-Car found equally the the best choice Nico Hulkenberg and second set Rene Rast but the Audi was forward of the Porsche efficiently meaning the Audi has become all but a lap behind the top 919 Hybrid.
Only over seven hours of the Le Mans 24 Hrs stays.
