Hyundai hybrid and PHEV compacts spotted during testing
Some unnamed Hyundai hybrid and plug in hybrid automobiles have already been seen examining in the American Southwest.
Hot on the heels of the Hyundai Equus and Kia K900 high-end sedans which were spied before this week, a fresh batch of however-to-be-introduced Hyundais have been documented. The automobiles seem to be smaller in relation to the Sonata, but the greatly camouflaged automobiles tend not to fit the design of any present automobiles in the Hyundai line.
Having a distinctive hybrid hatchback account similar to the Prius and Honda Insight, the compact-sized hybrid vehicles could function as next-era Elantra. What is more, sharp observers have found that among the test mules h AS a double fuel covers, suggesting it is a plugin hybrid car. The other, using just one fuel cover, will be a conventional hybrid vehicle. Electricity may come from a 1.6L turbo-four matched to an electric-motor and lithium ion battery.
The present generation Elantra, which debuted in 2011, is place to be replaced shortly. It's likely these hybrid variants will soon be revealed in early 2016. But because the 2016 Elantra is currently slated to soldier on in its present generation, any hybrid vehicles or add-on will be a 2017 version. Photograph by Mark Elias.
