Infiniti presents the new Q60 concept ahead of the Detroit auto show
The luxury cars manufacturer Infiniti built a new concept car, which named the Q60 of the next generation. The automaker is preparing for the official introduction at the annual auto show in Detroit that takes place next week.
As it is noticed, the novelty has been influenced by another Q80 Inspiration concept car, which was presented at the motor show in Paris.
By the way, the new Q60 is the redesigned and rebadged G coupe. The novelty keeps some design elements similar to the previous G coupe; however, the Q60 concept has become more muscular and gotten well-defined lines and short overhangs, the renewed C-pillar and 12-inch wheels.
The concept car’s interior includes the layout 2+2. There is the leather trim with some accents of carbon fiber.
According to the carmaker, the Q60 is oriented to meet the competition with the Mercedes C-class coupe, BMW 4-series, Lexus RS, Cadillac ATS coupe and Audi A5.
The novelty is based on the shortened platform borrowed from the Q50 sedan, which is able with the rear-wheel-drive.
The Infiniti’s concept is equipped with the 3.0-liter V6 twin turbocharged engine, which has been borrowed from the Q80 Inspiration.
The automaker promises to offer a convertible version and even the model equipped with the hybrid system as well.
We will be happy to share with you more information and additional details when the auto manufacturer officially introduces the novelty next Monday in Detroit.
