Infiniti will recall its Q50 models

The carmaker has announced recall of Q50 sedans of 2014 model year. This recall is caused by a defect of the steering by wire system. This fault is in the software of direct adaptive steering system, which may switch off the steering power in low temperatures.
This defect has to be fixed to avoid any chances of a crash.
There are only 23 cars under the recalling that is connected with a specific version of software. The auto manufacturer asked all owners of the new Q50 to bring their vehicles to the brand’s service center or the dealerships. Certainly, this fault will be repaired at the expense of the carmaker.
The Infiniti Company has been working on development this steer by wire system for ten years. Owing to this system, there is not the actual connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels.
Today, Infiniti is only an auto manufacturer offers vehicles equipped with that system in the U.S. market. The carmaker plans to cut prices of the steer by wire system soon.
We would like to remind you that a few years ago Mercedes introduced the Sensotronic brake by wire system for its E and CLS-classes cars. At that time, the German auto manufacturer had to recall about 1.3 million cars because of defect in that system.
