Mazda may skip Paris auto show

BARCELONA -- Mazda.com may become the most recent automaker to jump this season 's Paris auto-show, joining Ford and Volvo, which have previously stated they WOn't present in the biannual occasion.
Mazda Europe CEO Jeff Guyton stated the auto-maker participation in the present is under dialogue. He was talking at a Mazda press function here.
Paris is a "tremendous" display, he explained, but it's hard for Mazda to make an impact as it's dominated by France’s national automakers, Renault and PSA/Peugeot-Citroen.
The show happens from Oct. 1 to 16 in the French funds and is a crucial date in Europe's automotive calendar. It's held on alternating years together with the Frankfurt present.
Ford stated earlier this month that it is not going to possess a stand at the Paris display as the U.S. auto makers turns its advertising focus to technology occasions such as the Consumer-Electronics Show in Las Vegas and the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Volvo is lowering its present looks to one per area as it focuses on selling more directly to clients. Volvo will jump Paris and only display in Geneva in 2013.
At next month's Geneva show Mazda will debut its Mazda3 with a 1.5-liter diesel-engine that's currently provided in Europe with the Mazda2 sub compact hatchback and CX3 subcompact crossover. The auto-maker will even give a European introduction to the RX Vision sportscar with a next generation rotary motor known as the Skyactiv-R. The theory was first unveiled in the Tokyo show in October.
