New 2017 F1 aero package has been agreed - Symonds

Williams specialized chief Pat Symonds claims the 2017 F-1 aero bundle has been completely defined, and is assured that it's going to be officially accepted by the World Motorsport Council.
The groups happen to be working together with the FIA to develop a bundle that makes quicker laptimes and leads to a larger challenge for the motorists.
Symonds says a modified model of Article 3 of the F1 technical rules, which defines body work and measurements, is obtaining acceptance.
The body work modifications should come in concurrent with broader tyres.
"There's a group of ordinances, a draft of Post 3," mentioned Symonds. "Mostly the work of Williams placing the choice of words jointly, even though the discourse continues to be quite extensive.
"That draft is heading to the groups within another week, but it is basically everything which has been been concurred only put into one file.
"It does completely define the aerodynamic rules. In itself it it does not explain the tyre dimension, but we've concurred on the tyre dimensions, and the ordinances are constructed around these tyre dimensions.
"Because even though Post 3 does not refer to tyre dimensions, clearly various widths of wings and body work are associated with that.
"I consider that we've got now a completely defined set of principles that link to each of the body work. I think we've deal with Pirelli as from what the tyre sizes will probably be.
"There are a few differing views regarding exactly what the functionality of the bundle is going to be, as in really there were in 2008.
"But we are ready to go forward. So far as I know the Method Team, everybody content, the F-1 Commission, they can be joyful I consider. The rules should be ratified before March, and there is time for it. We are fairly pretty much there - we have completed what we were requested to do.
"Most of the clues are taken in the Red Bull suggestion. It is wound up up having a larger diffuser, a large front wing, and some I believe rather appealing styling.
"It is a slightly retro, but the short in the Strategy Team was to make the vehicles faster and make the styling better. I do believe we have completed these 2.
"It is not for me to say whether we have done the correct thing or maybe not, but the TRM (Specialized Regulation Meeting) members have completed that which was was requested of these."
Adaptive bundle
Symonds says the bundle is adaptable and may be fixed if there is a a need to improve rates.
"To be truthful we have rather a spacious aerodynamic system, it's not going to require much to add functionality to it.
"In reality I imagine that individuals are adding a bit more than needed, but at the second Pirelli's estimations of growths of tyre traction are very low, so we must shove the aero aspect."
He acknowledged the thorny issue of following other automobiles - introduced into focus yet again by Lewis Hamilton in Brazil - has nevertheless to be resolved.
"My opinion is the more downforce you've got on an automobile, the more difficult it's to follow. And this auto has more down-force.
"So irrespective of any justness the Overtaking Working Group could have appear with, and regardless of whether one believes them or maybe not - and as an associate of the group I understand what shortcuts we did against the authentic scientific procedure - the truth is in the event you have got more downforce, the more difficult it's to follow.
