New Nissan Titan will get a V-8 Turbo diesel engine of Cummins Inc.
According to the official report of Nissan, the auto manufacturer has signed the Agreement with the Cummins Company, one of the largest makers of diesel engines in the world. Within the bounds of this collaboration, Nissan will launch the next generation of Titan pickups, equipped with a 5.0-liter turbo diesel engine of Cummins.
The Nissan Titan of 2014 will take place in the range of light-duty, full-size pickups with diesel engines on the car market.
Nissan has not announced the new pickup as a model year yet. The first Titan was launched in 2004 and since then there are no changing or redesigning. Not but what the carmaker runs into rivals in F-150 of Ford, GMC Sierra, Ram 1600 and Chevy Silverado, which sales are increasing.
The next Titan’s powertrain has the power of 300 horsepower with the torque of 677.14.
Cummins promises that the new turbo diesel V-8 is reliable, with good balance of power and fuel economy.
The novelty will be assembled in Canton (Mississippi), where the first Titan of 2004 was build.
