Peugeot shows a new crossover concept
By the Paris auto show of this year, the French auto manufacturer is preparing to show its next concept, which is the third one after the 208 Hybrid air and 308 GT as well.
The new crossover concept is the Quartz equipped with the hybrid system producing the output of 500 horsepower. That hybrid system is compatible with the EMP2 modular platform.
The powertrain consists of the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces the output of 270 horsepower and the electric motor issuing the power of 114 horsepower. That system powers front wheels; moreover, there is another electric motor of 114 horsepower too, which powers the rear wheels as well. The transmission is six-speed automatic gearbox.
The Quartz crossover concept has three different modes: gasoline, hybrid and electric. The mileage of 31 miles electric driving only.
Materials used in the body of the concept are able not only save the car’s weight but also increase stiffness.
The interior is made of the woven with the polyester fiber. Driving mode changing and shift gear are on the steering wheel as the racecar has.
