Photo shows cop car parked in handicapped spot at IHOP

LAFAYETTE, Indiana - A graphic of a police vehicle in Indiana has garnered more than a million views, after it had been caught parking in a disabled area with an IHOP restaurant in Lafayette, reviews CBS affiliate WTTV.Lafayette Police Department Chief Patrick J. Flannelly in Indiana advised WTTV that the image was brought to his focus on July 1 2. He explained he promptly began an internal investigation to find out the conditions of the photograph. The picture was initially submitted to Reddit.com on Monday by consumer TheToolMan using a caption reading,"My neighborhood authorities must be reacting to your pancake crisis." In accordance with TheToolMan, the policeman was inside the restaurant-eating break fast. "It was very disappointing to find out the picture and obstructing to our bureau," Chief Flannelly informed WTTV. "Outside of an officer responding to the company for life saving actions, there's absolutely no basis for a police vehicle to be parked because area, span." Chief Flannelly informed WTTV that an internal evaluation concluded the policeman had not been parked in the area for just about any official company. The policeman parked in the area told his commander that he failed to begin to see the mark on the floor and was unaware that it was there till a citizen pointed it out to him. He was embarrassed and apologetic, in accordance with Flannelly.The Lafayette Police Department after discovered the space had not been correctly marked as a disability space. It lacked the mandatory signage and marking specifications. Chief Flannelly states no car, regardless of who ran it, may be ticketed for using the space.
