Renewed Audi TT for 2016 model year
Half year ago, Audi presented the third generation of the TT model. Now, the carmaker is preparing to introduce both TT and TT roadster.
The new TT model comes on the U.S. auto market in a year as a car of 2016 model year. The novelty will be available in TTS and TT trims, which are equipped with the standard all-wheel-drive Quattro system. In addition, there will be the front-wheel-drive TT RS.
The new TT version is equipped with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces the output of 220 horsepower and the torque of 258 lb-ft. The TT is offered in convertible and coupe bodies.
The TTS gets similar powertrain as the previous variant, but the output is 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. And the TTS is available only in a coupe body style.
Both models are equipped with the standard six-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox. Moreover, novelties have all-important brand’s technical features such as the Drive select system that allow adjusting suspension, steering, throttle response and shift points.
The prices for the novelties will be announced closer to the starting sales, next year.
