Spied: 2015 Peugeot 308 GTi

Recreational spy photos shot in France have prematurely shown the Peugeot 308 GTi ahead of its official introduction later this month in the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Visually, the GTi deliberately takes on a low key look, it is much less extreme-appearing as competitors including the SEAT Leon Cupra. It stands out of the stock 308 thanks to a fresh front fender with unobtrusive aerodynamic fins, side-skirts as well as some of round exhaust suggestions incorporated into the back fender. Big multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped by low profile performance tires and black mirror caps round out the upgrades. Power should come from a RCZ R-sourced turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine tuned to make 270 hp at 6,000 rpm and 247 pounds-ft. of torque at 1,900 rpm. The turbo-four will spin the front wheels by means of a six-speed manual-transmission along with a Torsen limited-slip differential, although Peugeot is apparently in the final phases of creating its first-ever 8-speed automatic gear box. The excess power will soon be complemented by updated brakes as well as a stiffer suspension developed with input from Peugeot Activity, the auto-maker inhouse racing department. Peugeot is likely to introduce the 308 GTi on the web in the the next couple of weeks, as well as the hot-hatch will go on-sale across Europe before the conclusion of the entire year. Stay tuned to Leftlane for stay pictures of Peugeot's next popular hatch directly from Goodwood beginning on June 25th. Read Source
