SsangYong introduced 11-seater minivan

The South Korean company presented a new SsangYong Korando Turismo, which is the successor to the earlier minivan Rodius. Korando Turismo is a comfortable minivan oriented to the European market. There is this vehicle will be called Stavic. Korando Turismo has as many as four rows of seats, which, depending on the chosen configuration will be able to accommodate a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 11 passengers. Besides folded in a special way the seat consists of three comfortable beds or a large cargo area and in this case the boot capacity can reach 3240 liters. Also of the folded seats in the second and third row can be equipped with small tables.

Car will be available in three trim levels: Luxury Touring (LT), Grand Touring (GT) and the Royal Touring (RT). Top-end version of the large family car will be equipped with a multimedia system with touch screen and multimedia system.

The majority of minivans will be brought in-line four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo diesel, issuing 149 horsepower. However the more expensive version will get a 3.2 liters gasoline engine issuing 220 hp. Korando Turismo will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission or five-speed automatic transmission from Mercedes-Benz. One part of vehicles will be equipped with the front-wheel drive and another part will be all-wheel drive.

SsangYong expects to sale about 20 000 vehicles a year of which – one half of the domestic market in South Korea, and the other – in other markets at that. The price of new model for people in South Korea will be more than 28 million won that equal to about 23 thousand dollars.
