The BMW manufacturer is ready to present its updated X3, which will get changings in drive, engine and the exterior. The novelty is expected to be more capable and comfortable as well.

Currently, the X3 will be offered in the xDrive28d model. That is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TwinPower diesel engine, producing the power of 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of the torque. This unit can accelerate a car from 0 mph to 60 mph in 8 seconds. In addition, the new model has the SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction), which is cleaning up exhaust according to a standard of clean diesel.

Besides, the updated X3 will be offered in the sDrive28i version, which is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that can issue the power of 240 horsepower with torque of 260 lb-ft. The gasoline powertrain can accelerate the X3 from 0 mph to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds.

As we have said, the renewed car gets redesigned exterior. It includes a new grille, twin-circle headlights, rear and front bumpers and side mirrors with turn signals.

The interior is also redesigned. There is the new chrome trim, new cup holders, redesigned center stack panel.

Moreover, the novelty will be offered with optional features such as full-LED headlights.

The updated X3 is offered in two packages: the M Sport and xLine. The xLine package includes metallic inserts, aluminum accents, the interior leather trim and 19-inch alloy wheels as well.

The M Sport package includes better aerodynamics, the high-gloss trim Shadow Line, 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels. There are sports seats inside; and the exterior includes six colors.

The carmaker announced the X3 would be offered in xDrive35i –the four-wheel-drive version, which is planned to be equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line turbocharged engine, producing the output of 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of the torque.

The updated X3 regardless of models will get the eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

We will have an opportunity to find the novelty at the dealer rooms this year because the updated X3 is a car of 2015 model year.

Costs of the renewed car depend on a version of X3. The gasoline model sDrive 28i is expected to have a starting price of from 39,325 dollars, the X3 xDrive28i will cost from 40,725 dollars, the four-wheel-drive xDrive35i starts from 45,825 dollars and finally the new diesel model xDrive28d will have the cost of from 42,825 dollars.
