The Opel brand plans to launch a new Buick model for the U.S. auto market.
One of the largest auto manufacturer the General Motors has declared its plans to share a design between Opel and Buick models. Moreover, the carmaker said this .closer joint collaboration would allow producing a completely new product of both brands.
By the end this year, we will know all details. Currently it is known that two models –the Cascada cabrio and the latest Calibra coupe will get the Buick badge as well.
The third joint car is expected to be the new crossover based on the new generation of Enclave. Both Opel and Buick plan to borrow the style for their crossover from the Monza concept.
The novelty will be launched at the main factory of Opel in Germany. According to the General Motors plans, the auto manufacturer will add the Insignia production in the German Opel’s factory. We would like to remind you that now the Insignia car is sold as the Regal of Buick, produced in Canada.
In addition, the auto manufacturer also announced to stop selling Opel on the Chinese auto market because increasing demand for Buick vehicles there. China is the auto market number “One” for the Buick brand. Last year about 810,000 cars were sold there. In comparison, there were only over 4,300 Opel’s models during the same period.
