The latest Mercedes CLS-class before official debut
As you probably remember the last generation of the Mercedes CLS-class was launched in 2012 when the new model was available in both wagon and sedan versions.
Now the auto manufacturer is preparing the updating CLS-class, which is planned to be officially presented in one year.
The carmaker introduced its renewed S-class, E-class and C-class recently. To keep Mercedes’s fans attracted in new models, the automaker made decision to launch an updating CLS models as well. According to pictures, the novelty will get upgraded lights, new grille and bumpers.
The manufacturer did not forget to update the interior too. Likely, the novelty will get some features from the latest S-class models such as the brand’s infotainment system, cruise control Distronic Plus, steering assist, pre-safe braking system and other innovative technologies and systems, which may make driving easier and more comfortable.
Now the right time to talk about the future powertrains; the CLS 550 will be equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 twin turbocharged engine, which produces the output of 455 horsepower. The CLS 63 is not planned to get a new engine because its unit was changed recently.
The latest CLS will be equipped with a new brand’s nine-speed automatic gearbox 9G-TRONIC, while the AMG versions will get a seven-speed automatic transmission SPEEDSHIFT.
The novelties of updated CLS-class are expected to come on the auto market at the end of this year.
