UAW reaches improved deal with FCA at deadline

The UAW and Fiat-Chrysler reached still another provisional deal on a new labor deal early today, averting a threatened strike that may have sent some or all of FCA's 40,000 unionized employees off the occupation.
The labor organization, in a statement, stated its bargaining committee "guaranteed substantial increases" in the brand new deal. Details were not revealed.
