Updating of the BMW 1-series
Currently, BMW is working on updating of the 1-series. This time, the auto manufacturer will get upgrades in both sides and for both five and three doors versions.
The present version of the BMW 1-Series hatchback was first introduced in 2011, that is why the upcoming year, the car will get middle-cycle upgrades.
Noticeable updates include redesigned bumpers, a renewed grille and headlights. All these accents look quite similar to the same elements of the latest BMW models. Inside, the novelty will be equipped with the brand’s infotainment system.
The updated car is equipped with the 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is expected to replace the previous four-cylinder unit. Moreover, the upgraded 1-series will be available with 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine borrowed from the newest Mini Cooper and the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged unit, producing the output of 320 horsepower and the torque of 332 lb-ft. The transmission is offered with the six-speed manual and the eight-speed automatic gearboxes.
The main rivals of the hatchback 1-series will meet the competition with Mercedes A-class and Audi A3 as well.
Unfortunately, presently, there is no confirmed information to sell novelties in the U.S.
