Volvo plans to present its vehicle at the show in Tokyo
In spite of the global crisis and some negative opinions that the Tokyo auto show may be delayed because of some auto manufacturers cannot present their models. However, carmakers have found opportunities to take participation in one of the most interesting auto events in the world. One of these auto manufacturers, which come back to the Tokyo show, is Volvo.
The first reason is increasing Volvo’s vehicles sales in Japan. The selling grows up by 25 percent in comparison with the same period last year. The bestselling model is the V40 that was awarded the best-imported car of 2013.
The concept, which will be presented at the show, is based on the brand’s SPA platform. It will be the XC90 that is expected to come on sale the upcoming year.
This concept coupe is equipped with the hybrid powertrain, which may show the power as the V8 but has the fuel economy as the four-cylinder unit.
