Woodward Dream Cruise sights and sounds A wild celebration of car culture

The Woodward Dream Cruise in Metro-Detroit might be a-one-day affair, but that did not prevent auto makers and enthusiasts from observing automobile culture for several times before the main-event earlier this weekend.
Dodge appealed to haul racers throughout its Road-Kill Evenings not in the Pontiac Silverdome last Wednesday, while General Motors brought back its Volt Quiet Cruise and Style on Woodward automobile display where members of General Motors Corporation's design staff, including GM design Chief Ed Welburn, exhibited their private vehicles.
Needless to say, there was still plenty to see on Saturday as viewers lined up along Woodward in garden chairs to find out the rolling car show.

Dodge's Road-Kill Nights

The high octane celebrations of Road-Kill Evenings "Powered by Dodge" contained thrill rides in the Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats combined with the Viper, smoky drag races as well as a give-away of a Hellcat motor to the most rapid Dodge. Additionally, Richard Rawlings, star of "Fast N' Loud" to the Discovery Channel, rushed in his custom 1967 Dodge Dart that is fortified using a souped up Hellcat motor.
