Would you like to equip your car with laser headlights?
The first carmaker that claimed about production vehicles equipped with laser headlights was the BMW. Later Audi announced launching its new R8 LMX, which was planned to get first laser headlights.
As a result, the first auto manufacturer is the Audi with its new R8 LMX equipped with standard laser headlights but not as the BMW i8 with its optional laser headlights.
The R8 LMX will be sold worldwide with standard laser headlights including only high beams.
Currently, we know that the new R8 LMX is planned to be sold in the limited edition. This summer the Audi’s novelty will come on the European market. Unfortunately, there is no confirmed information about selling the R8 LMX in the U.S.
The powertrain of the new Audi model is equipped with the 5.2-liter V10 engine producing the output of 550 horsepower and the torque of 398 lb-ft. Owing to this unit, the car is able to accelerate from 0 mph to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
The carmaker gave its R8 the seven-speed S-tronic with dual-clutch; the novelty gets the all-wheel-drive with 19-inch wheels and 235/35 and 305/30 tires as well.
The exterior includes the new Blue Ara color, carbon-fiber diffuser and a rear wing, new front spoiler lip and rear spoiler.
The interior of the R8 includes the leather Nappa seats with the Sepang Blue diamond pattern. Moreover, there is the contrast stitching with the Ara and Sepang Blue. The doors trim panels are covered by black leather Nappa as well. Besides, many carbon elements give the novelty the very stylish and unique appearance.
We are expecting the novelty by 2016; now we hope not to miss testing or new spy pictures.
