The Diablo was introduced to the general public available on January 21, 1990. The Diablo was rearwheel drive and the motor was midmounted to help its weight stability.

Thirty cars were planned, 40 were assembled, and 40 chassis were ready to substitute cars wrecked in racing accidents.
