The BMW I 3. Alongside the I 8 supercar, it is the beginning of BMW's electrical future - or therefore the firm hopes. The I 3 unites state-of-the-art carbon building using an electrical powertrain, and the choice of a 'range extender' gasoline engine that can re-charge the battery power on the transfer.
