In Spanish, Murcielago means "bat," though Lamborghini claims the title really describes a 19thcentury Spanish bull that gained recognition through its brave character in a bullfight. As Lamborghini's best sports-car from 2002-'10, the Murcielago carried in the convention laid down by its V12powered predecessors, like the Miura, Countach and Diablo.
