2 killed when train collides with car in North Carolina

CARY, N.C. -- Authorities say two individuals were killed when a goods train collided with a vehicle in Cary, North Carolina.CBS affiliate WRAL reported the crash happened at Morrisville Carpenter Road and NC Highway 54 in Morrisville Saturday evening.A press release in the township identified those killed as 86-yearold William Flint and 83-year old Dorothy Flint of Cary. Authorities say these were were killed in the crash that happened about 8 p.m.The first investigation reveals the motorist of the Toyota Camry produced a wrong turn, as well as the vehicle got caught on the trails. Researchers say the arms in the junction were working correctly.WRAL reported the automobile became wedged beneath the the arm on the trails.
